Mossy Creek Middle School 2nd Place Knowledge Bowl Competition

October 23, 2017

Mossy Creek Middle FCCLA had 5 members compete in several of the Fall Rally Competitions. N’Kya Solomon, an 8th grade member, competed in the Peanut Recipe Competition. N’Kya placed 1st in the middle school category. Allison Freligh, an 8th grade member, created a brochure about general FCCLA information for the Brochure Competition and placed 3rd in the Middle Level division. She incorporated this year’s theme for FCCLA, “Inspired by FCCLA” to develop the brochure. Her brochure describes opportunities FCCLA provides and brings awareness to businesses in the community about how FCCLA can inspire others to chase their dreams, develop leadership skills, and build community.

Mossy Creek Middle FCCLA also competed in the Knowledge Bowl and placed 2nd in the Middle Level FACS division. The knowledge bowl team consisted of Aiden Hinners, Lydia McAllister, Allison Freligh and Krish Patel. These students are all 8th graders at the Creek and show the younger FCCLA chapter members what commitment, teamwork, and hard work can accomplish. These 4 students studied many days and hours prior to the Fall Rally. They all serve as officers of the Mossy Creek FCCLA chapter.
