Archer High School Archer High School FCCLA's Busy Summer

August 18, 2017

In June, the Lawrenceville Kiwanis Club invited the Archer High School Representatives to share a presentation of Georgia FCCLA at their club meeting.  Archer FCCLA members Nathaly Sanitbanez, Tatyana Mangual, Emily Emmons, and Rachel Dunbar attended the meeting.

Members of the Kiwanis learned about the history, mission, and creed of the organization.  The Kiwanis' members asked many questions and were impressed with the opportunities offered by FCCLA.  A picture of the girls were posted on their Facebook page.

Tatyana, Nathaly, and Rachel also competed in Nashville in July. Both teams won a gold medal at NLC in Chapter Service Project Portfolio Senior and Sports Nutrition Junior.

Nathaly and Tatyana will serve as Archer FCCLA co-presidents for the 2017-2018 school year.  Tatyana is also the Region 3 officer.  Emily Emmons is also representing Georgia FCCLA as the Vice President of Public Relations.

These students and several other dedicated members, including Becca Young, Emily Soroko, Coutrney Gerstmyer worked over the summer to complete the planning for the year, including the POW, budget, bulletin board, and membership recuitment literature.  They worked the schedule pick up day and recruited many new members.

It is great to be an Archer Tiger!  We are Archer FCCLA!
