Rutland High School Rutland High School Participates in Operation Christmas Child
Rutland High School FCCLA participated in Operation Christmas Child this year and were able to pack a total of 39 boxes! It all started in October when two of their members, Sabrina Rutledge and Ciera Schultz decided to make a change. They got together with Rutland FCCLA and made a goal to pack a total of 25 boxes. Together, they put forth a lot of hard work and planning. They did things such as making signs, collecting donations at football games, passing out flyers, and even had a packing party with their members! In the end, all of the hard work was worth it because they were able to exceed their goal! Each box was filled to the top with lots toys and school supplies. All 39 boxes were sent to Liberty United Methodist Church on Sunday November 12, 2017 and will be going out to many children all around the world this Christmas. They hope to do many more projects just like this one to help others and show their true leadership skills!
