Stockbridge High School Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids

February 02, 2018

January 18, 2018 was a wonderful day here in Stockbridge. Not only did we have a beautiful snow on the ground, we also learned that we were one of three Grand Prize Winners from Taking Down Tobacco, a national initiative for FCCLA. As one of the first 100 Chapters to train and report back, we were awarded $100 and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing.
We are delighted to partner with Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), and have engaged FCCLA members in trainings that will help them understand the dangers of tobacco use and how their voices can help their peers #BetheFirst tobacco-free generation.
At the time of this article, our Chapter has trained over 75 students and are launching additional "Train the Trainer" sessions in hopes to take the entire student body of SHS through the material to motivate them to become the first tobacco free generation..
We would like to encourage other Chapters to look into the great opportunity for activism right there in your own school!
