North Forsyth High School NFHS Had a Great Year
During the 2018-2019 school year our chapter has worked to help make members aware of both our internal and external communities and to boost our relationship with both.
We started the year off with our officer installation, then we adopted a family at thanksgiving from our school and purchased two boxes full of groceries for that month. During FCCLA week in February we let our entire staff; teacher, paras, cafeteria, guidance, secretaries and janitorial staff know that they are appreciated with a sweet treat and card of thanks for all they do. Our final internal community task was to show our club members that they were appreciated for all the hard work they did during the year and had an end of the year mixer, where we also honored our seniors heading off to the world. The events that were planned by the officers and club members for our external community were as follows; Trunk or Treat at the elementary school, working at meals by grace to feed the community, making cards and caroling at our local nursing home we adopted, collecting canned food for "The Place", and collecting "toys for tots" and working with JROTC. In the Spring we geared up for competition and Day at the capitol. Our students are planning another great year this year and hope to complete all of last years task and add new memories.
