Berrien High School Berrien High Officers "Rush" students to join FCCLA

December 01, 2021

As a way to promote chapter membership and rally together current members, Berrien High FCCLA chose to have a Rush Week. The main goal of the week was to provide a different "treat" for members each day, which they would be able to pick up on their lunch break. Considering hundreds of snack bags had to be carefully handmade, this allowed officers to bond over putting together the snack bags in advance to the week. Furthermore, daily announcements and reminders encouraged past members, as well as those new to FCCLA, to bring in their dues. The week ended with a pre-game Tailgate Meeting where members were able to play outdoor games while enjoying their favorite tailgate foods. Members were excited to continue the tradition with precautions being taken to limit COVID-19 exposure. Highlighting benefits of this campaign, face to face time with chapter members, increased awareness of FCCLA on our campus, and members feeling appreciated were all a direct result of the FCCLA Rush Week. Best of all, approximately 20 new members were added to our chapter roll!
