ECI FCCLA students have been hard at work helping the Emanuel County Animal Shelter increase their adoption rates and lower the numbers at the shelter. Students have also volunteered throughout the year to help gather supplies for the facility, clean and help entertain the animals. ECI FCCLA member Halli Kate Johnson has organised 2 adoption events in 2023 and has an easter adoption planned for 2024. Members have been able to get businesses and the humane society to sponsor the adoptions, making the cost totally free for the first 7 people to adopt. This project has been a huge success and the students have been eager to volunteer and encourage adoptions at school through promotion platforms.
