Our FCCLA Chapter at Jenkins High School is always looking for way to make a difference in the lives of not only our peers, but also in our neighboring community. Last year, we were made aware of a need in our community for canned goods in order to ensure that families in need could have a holiday meal. This year, we collected 643 cans for the food pantries at St. James Catholic Church and the Social Apostolate in Savannah, Ga. Each year, these organizations give every family a ham and canned food, so our contributions will be able to help many families in our community. Between last year and this year, we have been able to contribute 1612 cans to these organizations. We hope to continue this service project for years to come!
